Where the papers come from.
Papermunch doesn’t write papers, sell papers or keep papers. It puts them in an order that makes sense, and gives you somewhere to work on them.
Edexcel
Every Edexcel paper comes from Pearson’s own website. The list of what exists comes from the same public index that powers Pearson’s past-paper finder, so if Pearson has published it, it’s here.
Pearson keeps its newest papers behind a teacher login for a while, so that schools can use them as mocks. Those show up here with a padlock. When Pearson unlocks one, the next update of this site unlocks it too.
Cambridge
Cambridge publishes only its latest few sittings to everyone and keeps the rest behind a school login. So Cambridge papers come from a public archive of those files.
What happens when you open one
The paper is fetched from its source there and then, passed through Papermunch’s server on its way to you (the desk has to read a file to draw it), and shown in your browser. Nothing is stored on the way. Every paper also has a link to the original file, in the desk’s menu.
Who owns them
The exam boards do. Question papers, mark schemes and examiner reports belong to Cambridge University Press & Assessment and to Pearson Education. Papermunch is an independent study resource and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by either of them.
How the counting works
Every number on this site is a real count, not a slogan. A “paper” is one question paper. Its mark scheme, insert, examiner report and anything else that came with it are counted as files.

What Papermunch keeps about you
Nothing. There are no accounts, no adverts and no tracking. The papers you’ve munched, the subjects you’ve opened and every note you write on the desk are saved in your own browser and never leave it.
Done. Otto remembers nothing.
